29. septembar 2016 Exchange of Experts in civil protection programme: New two-year project cycle beginning October 2016
The short-term exchange programme for persons and organisations involved in civil protection activities will be continued for a further two years. The programme is funded by the European Commission and managed by the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) and is part of the Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM).
The programme serves to improve the competence of civil protection forces and increase the effectiveness of joint operations by offering interested persons and parties the opportunity to participate in short-term exchanges to different countries. At present, 52 countries are represented in the programme, offering participants a wealth of potential experiences and knowledge accessible in the different national civil protection systems and organisations. Representatives from non-governmental organisations, which are active in the field of civil protection and disaster management, are also eligible to take part.
An exchange lasts from 2 days to a maximum 2 weeks. Experts are able to apply individually or as a group and organisations can use the programme to invite experts.
Further information about the programme, eligibility and participation criteria can be found on our website.
